Hello Amanda,

Thank you for your beautiful writing and for educating people by providing awareness of muscular dystrophy. I am committed that you will be THE ONE that provides your communities and the world with that fairy-tale story you have been searching for. You can manifest ANYTHING in life and I am a stand that you will disappear your ailment and cause others to do the same.

With love and gratitude.
Cameron Cushing

Ps. You mentioned something about meditation as part of your strength recovery. I want to briefly share my meditation experience with you. I had been searching for a meditation practice for some time and found exactly what I was looking for earlier this year. http://www.dhamma.org/ Vipassana meditation is a World Wide practice that is based on the Universal Laws of Nature that state "life is impermanent". This meditation practice is not religious nor does it interfere with any religious sect. I did a 10 day silent meditation retreat with this amazing organization back in March 2008. It was one of the most liberating experiences of my life Amanda. I now meditate 2 hours a day and follow the path to enlightenment. Nibbana (total purification of the mind resulting in complete egolessness/unshakeable equanimity) is the ultimate goal of Vipassana and it is irrelevant whether one will or won't achieve this goal. I have chosen this path and it has provided me with many new discoveries into the mind. It is the most beautiful practice one could have in their life.

Vipassana is a 100% percent not for profit organization that operates at a level of integrity that is second to none from my experience. Writing this, I am present to the work I currently do with three companies that all operate with such a high degree of integrity and how I am so fortunate to have this work in my life.

Ok, not so brief on the sharing... and I could go on. Thank you for giving me the space to write and share about one of my life experiences and new found journies! Please keep me updated with your writings.

Amanda thanks for this post. I must confess that I have often confused the two. I now understand the difference. You're doing a great service by sharing your experience and raising awareness of muscular dystrophy! You're one of the strongest, most determined people I know.
